Yorkshire is a fantastic place to be at the moment as the excitement builds towards the Tour de France. Every where I go there are yellow bikes, red spots and amazing art work and events inspired by the tour. This weekend we have a cycling event cycling up The Longest Hill on the Longest Day! Cyclists are invited to cycle up and down Cragg Vale as many times as they can in 24 hours. http://blazingsaddles.co.uk/blog/longest-hill-longest-day-come-join-fun/ … I plan to pop up tonight but am saving my energy for tomorrow when cyclists will be accompanied by the longest choir singing their hearts out all the way up Cragg Vale.
My own Tour de France inspired work is doing very well, my work is being exhibited at The Bankfield Museum in Halifax and The Robin Hood, Cragg Vale and I am now selling in over 30 shops and galleries as well as in my online store. https://folksy.com/shops/abundantglass But by far the most exciting bit of it all so far for me was having a very special visitor to my studio to help me sand my coasters! A couple of weeks ago I was lucky enough to be filmed by Countryfile talking to John Craven . If you want to find out more see Countryfile this Sunday 22nd at 7.30pm.
