Online Sale and Open Studio

I will be running an online sale Friday 17th June prior to opening my studio in Hebden Bridge 1st – 3rd July.  I have many seconds and one off pieces destined for both events as well as all my usual stock.  You should be able to find examples of all my usual work and a few surprises.

The online sale will be on Facebook from 9.30 – 5.00.  If you haven’t already liked my Facebook page please do to ensure you don’t miss anything.

Here are some of the items I’ve dug out so far.  I look forward to seeing you there!

Spider’s web dish

Cleaning does have its uses.  A recent late spring cleaning frenzy balancing on chairs to reach the cobwebs provided my latest inspiration for a kiln carved spiders web dish.  This one is made with iridised rainbow glass which shifts colour as you move it around.

Another one for next weekend’s Art in the Pen I think.

Joining the dots

Tack fused and slumped dishI have been experimenting with a new technique I picked up on the Warmglass Foundation Course last month – creating ‘dots’.  Dots are created by placing two or small squares

Sun catcher

(or fragments) of glass on top of each other, preferably at different angles, and full fusing.  They can then be used in other fusing projects like the dishes and suncatcher shown here.  Good eh!
